The Gender Task Force will work on three
pillars:
- increased public awareness of women's political
participation in elections and political processes in general;
- reform of existing electoral systems and legislation
where needed to promote women's political participation;
- establish governmental institutions to promote gender
equality and improve and strengthen existing mechanisms.
In the first phase, the Task Force will:
- get more programming and reporting on women's political
participation through Media / Information Campaigns;
- obtain necessary information for women in SEE to
develop essential skills to run for office and increase their electability;
- analyze legislation and practices in SEE from a
gender perspective.
