The Ohrid Process on Border Security and Management is a joint effort by the five countries of the Western Balkan region, the EU, the OSCE, NATO and the Stability Pact to address the very sensitive issues of border management and security.
The whole process is based on the implementation of concrete measures, described in the two founding documents, the Way Forward Document and the Common Platform, which were signed during the Ohrid Conference in May 2003.
The Ohrid Border Process constitutes an integral part of the Stability Pact core objective on Managing and Stabilizing Population Movements.
