The eSEE Working Group and bSEE Taskforce consists of eEnvoys - appointed senior government officials in ministries for telecommunication or agencies for ICT. The aim of the Working Group is to facilitate implementation of the eSEE Agenda, eSEE Agenda plus and bSEE Action Plan as well as the overall improvement of policy and regulation in the ICT sector and coordinating project activities in SEE countries. The SP Broadband South East Europe Taskforce (bSEE) is working to promote regional broadband infrastructure in support of the implementation of eGovernance programs.
The eSEE Working Group was established in 2002 after the Belgrade Ministerial Conference on Telecommunications for Development (2002) while bSEE Taskforce was formed in 2005 after signing the Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of Unified Market of Broadband Networks at the Ministerial Conference in Thessaloniki (2005).
The members of the eSEE Working Group are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and UNMIK/Kosovo.
The members of the bSEE Taskforce are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and UNMIK/Kosovo.
