Special Co-ordinator of the Stability Pact Erhard Busek expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic death of Macedonian president Boris Trajkovski, who’s plane went down on the way to a conference in Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

President Trajkovski has been a valuable ally in the fruitful cooperation between Macedonia and the Stability Pact.  His moderating influence during days of tension in Macedonia and his understanding of minority issues made him a moral authority far beyond his own country.  The Stability Pact conveys its heartfelt condolences to the people of Macedonia, its Government and to family and friends of the late President.
