In order to discuss the proposed common energy market in South East Europe, the Stability Pact, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the European Commission are organising a conference for parliamentarians, social partners and NGOs.
The conference will provide an opportunity for elected politicians, trade union representatives as well as employer organisations to gain a better understanding of the impact that the proposed energy treaty would have on the participating countries’ economies, laws and EU integration prospects.
A press conference will be held on 12 October at 12:30 in the Parliament Palace (Spiru Haret Hall). Accreditation may be arranged at the conference reception prior to the event. Further information may be obtained from Ms. Alexandra Dedu +40 (21) 230 75 83, email: alexandra.dedu@mae.ro.
The press conference will be attended by Mr. Mircea Geoană, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania and Dr. Erhard Busek, Special Co-ordinator of the Stability Pact.
Following the event, journalists from the SEE region may contact the Stability Pact secretariat ( press@stabilitypact.org) with any questions or requests regarding the conclusions of this conference.
