The Stability Pact will hold its biannual combined meetings of the Regional Table (general assembly of Stability Pact participants) and its three Working Tables on 7 and 8 June 2004 in Portoroz.

The meetings will follow the usual format.  Day 1 (7 June) will see the meetings of the Working Tables on Democratisation and Human Rights (WT I), on Economic Reconstruction and Development (WT II) and Security (WT III), including a briefing for journalists by the Chairpersons of the Working Tables.

A special event will be held on Day 2 (8 June) as part of the Regional Table meeting to mark the Stability Pact’s Five Years of existence.  So far and pending confirmation, Slovenian Prime Minister Rop, the host Foreign Minister Rupel and several foreign ministers (i.a. Ferrero-Waldner (Austria), Ivanic (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Mitreva (fYR Macedonia), Stratan (Moldova)) and EU Commissioner Potocnik have announced their participation.

The commemorative event scheduled 9.00-12.00 (8 June 2004)
