Busek condemns Horrific Murder of Serbian Prime Minister as Cowardly Act

The Special Co-ordinator Erhard Busek condemned the murder of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic as a serious setback and a cowardly act. “Zoran Djindjic was a man, who was courageous enough to successfully challenge the backward looking dimension in Serbian politics and to break with a past, which isolated Yugoslavia in much of nineties”, said Busek. Prime Minister Djindjic had been instrumental in bringing Serbia and Montenegro back into the family of European nations and ensured an outstandingly good co-operation within the Stability Pact. Special Co-ordinator Erhard Busek conveys his sincerest condolences to the family of Prime Minister Djindjic and wishes the people of Serbia the strength to continue with the reform process.
