Human Trafficking in South Eastern Europe

The Stability Pact Special Coordinator, Dr Erhard Busek, and Minister Helga Konrad, Chair of the SP Task Force on Trafficking in Human Beings, present the new UNICEF report on the trafficking situation in South Eastern Europe.

In the framework of the SP Task Force on Trafficking in Human Beings, UNICEF has updated its inventory on the trafficking situation in SEE and on anti-trafficking measures taken in the region, first published in 2000, and thus providing an extremely important and effective tool in the fight against trafficking in human beings.

In preparation to the fourth TF meeting in Bucharest on 4 June, we invite you to participate in a press briefing in order to update you on the activities of the Stability Pact Task Force on Trafficking in Human Beings. The Chair will give a review on the achievements since the establishment of the TF two years ago and on the future initiatives.

The Stability Pact Special Coordinator, Dr Erhard Busek, will take the opportunity to inform about the Stability Pact policy outline 2002.

For accreditation, please bring either your OSCE badge or a press identification card. Parking is available for press on Tuesday, from 10:30 to 13:00 in the OSCE-reserved parking area.
