The Human Rights and Democracy Working Table will hold its half yearly meeting in Istanbul on 12-13 June. The Working Table will deal with (1) Local Democracy and Cross-Border Co-operation, (2) History and History-teaching as main themes and with such issues as Refugees, Media, Education.

The opening sequence of the Working Table Meeting,
starting on 12 June at 10.00h until approx. 10.45h,
including opening statement of the Co-chairs and
of Special Co-ordinator Erhard Busek, is opened to media.

The results of the Working Table will be presented to media
at a joint press briefing of the Working Table Co-chairs,
Mr. Alexander Rondos and Amb. Daryal Batibay,
on 13 June 2002 at 13.00h,
