On 17-18 December 2001, Working Table I (Human Rights and Democratisation) will hold its regular meeting in Skopje.

Apart from follow-up work to the Bucharest Regional Conference on various priority areas, the Working Table I plenary session will focus on civil society involvement, and inter-ethnic dialogue and cross-border co-operation. Deputy Stability Pact Co-ordinator Donald B. Kursch will also participate in the meeting.

Media are invited to cover the opening statements (Monday 17 December, 14.00) and closing statements (Tuesday 18 December, 12.30) of the meeting in Hotel Aleksandar Palace.

A concluding Press Conference by the Working Table's Co-chairs, Assistant Foreign Minister Igor Dzundev and Alexandros Rondos, is envisaged for 18 December 2001, at 13.30 in Hotel Aleksandar Palace, Skopje.

After the press conference, Media are invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Skopje Office of the Stability Pact Gender Task Force.
