Special Co-ordinator Hombach holds talks with new Yugoslav / Serbian Authorities - heads Investor’s Mission to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Bodo Hombach will on February 7 & 8 meet with President Vojislav Kostunica and with members of the new Yugoslav and Serbian Governments in Belgrade. Meetings are scheduled with Prime Minister of Serbia, Zoran Djindjic; with the FRY and Serbian Ministers of Transport, Mr Zoran Sami and Ms Marija Vukosavljevic; with Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic and with the respective Ministers of the Interior, Zoran Zivkovic (FRY) and Dusan Mihajlovic (Serbia). The first Investors Mission to Yugoslavia is taking place on 8 and 9 February in Belgrade under the auspices of the Stability Pact’s Business Advisory Council (BAC) The BAC is grouping prominent members of the business communities of countries represented in the Pact. The conference is expected to be attended by approximately 200 persons 50 potential foreign investors and 80 to 100 Yugoslav/Serbian business representatives. Apart from Bodo Hombach, Mr Zoran Djindjic, Prime Minister of Serbia; Mr. Miroljub Labus, Deputy Prime Minister of FRY and Swedish Ambassador to Belgrade, Mr. Michael Sahlin representing the EU Presidency, are giving keynote addresses to the participants. The Business Advisory Council was founded in January 2000 in order to provide the South Eastern European economic reconstruction effort with a platform representing business interests. The BAC has 25 members, including from all regional member states of the Stability Pact. It is co-chaired by Manfred Nussbaumer (Chairman of the Board of Zueblin(AG) and Yves-Thibault de Silguy (Member Executive Board of Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux) The media are kindly invited to attend the opening of the conference on 8 February, at 3 p.m., in the Hyatt Hotel Belgrade, as well as a Press Conference on 9 February at 12 p.m., Hyatt Hotel Belgrade. (Participants and keynote speakers will also be available to media on the side of the conference)
