From 20 to 23 September 2001, a Conference on Art and Culture in the Danube region will be held in Regensburg (Germany). The Special Co-ordinator of the Stability Pact, Bodo Hombach will participate and give a speech at this event.

Apart from hosting two exhibitions, the Conference will bring together representatives of the world of arts, film, media and politics of 10 Danube countries. The Conference will be initiated as a first in a series to be continued biannually. The next edition is scheduled to happen in Belgrade in 2003.
