On 23rd of October 2003 in Brussels, Working Table I of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe organized a Transfer of Information Meeting, on "New Generation of EU Research and Education Programmes (2007-2013) and South Eastern Europe". Apart from the representatives of the EU commission, Heads of Missions to the European Union of several SEE states attended the meeting, in this way emphasizing the high standing of education and research on the reform agendas of their countries. Representatives from the Missions of the countries of SEE had an opportunity to receive  information about the new generation of EU research and education programmes by the Representatives of the European Commission - DG Research and DG Enlargement. The participants  were also   informed about the activities of the SP  regional initiatives ERI SEE and  SEE-ERA.NET as well as the state of education reform in SEE by an independent consultant Petra Hoblaj.
